Austin Slate OF / RHP / Alexander, GA / 20206/7/19 - 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, strong build. Stood out offensively with present bat speed and aggressive tone with which he swings it. Open setup, hands start high, dropping on load, short stride. |
Jack Witmer OF / RHP / Ola, GA / 20206/6/19 - 6-foot, 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder, athletic build. Offensively, takes a line drive approach looking to square the ball back up the middle, above average barrel control. |
Anthony Patterson OF / RHP / Aaron Academy, TN / 20206/9/19 - 6-foot-2, 155-pound two-way prospect, lean athlete, room for continued physical development. Offensively, right-handed hitter, gap-to-gap type hitter with emerging power, uses long levers to create leverage. On the mound, arm played athletically, running his fastball up to 85 mph (2300rpm). |
Tyson Swope OF / RHP / Dalton , GA / 20206-foot, 200 pounds; matured legs. Had a very good weekend at the plate as he came up with multi-hit games in just about every game. Squared stance with a bat of a drop in hands on load. Barrel stays through the zone for a long duration, allowing to barrel pitches all over the zone. Hit the ball where it was pitches; interesting player who does a good job at the plate. |
Brendan Holloway OF / 2B / Vernon Hills, IL / 2020Rankings StateRank: 143 / POS: 23
6/20/19 - 2020 OF Brendan Holloway (Top Tier Americans) set the tone all day for Top Tier. The small, speedy outfielder was on the bases early and often, showing some strength to his short stroke. Holloway made several highlight type catches showing he can go get the baseball. He shows a quick first step and reaches top speed quickly. |
Joey Moorkamp RHP / OF / Lafayette , MO / 2020Rankings StateRank: 124 / POS: 43
6/20/19 - Showed an athletic frame at 6-foot-4, 195 pounds, good bat strength and an above average run tool. He added two hits to the St Louis Prospects’ offensive attack in their opening game against the Triton Rays 17U GA. |
Chuck Ingram C / OF / Rockhurst, MO / 2020Rankings StateRank: 73 / POS: 14
6/20/19 - Excelled at the plate with a pair of hits in his two at-bats—a hard hit single through the six-hole and a line drive single to left. He showed a level swing path, above average bat speed and was aggressive on the bases. |
Darryl Buggs OF / Heritage (Conyers), GA / 20207/25/19 - At 6-1, 170 pounds, he doesn’t look overly big on the field, but he’s twitchy, shows bat speed, and is constantly hunting for extra bases. If you’re on defense, it’s nerve wracking having him on the basepaths, having to constantly make sure he stops his feet. He’s dangerous when he gets on base, and with the combination of his plate discipline and speed, headaches happen quite often against him. |
Cole Williams OF / 2B / Myers Park, NC / 2020Rankings StateRank: 112 / POS: 17
7/28/19 - A 2020 Infielder/outfielder hit well for 5-Star in tonight’s game. From the left-side of the box, Williams displays a short, smooth swing through the hitting zone. In today’s showing, he hit a triple in the RCF gap, and later an RBI single up the middle. He is still Uncommitted and an interesting player to follow during the course of his senior year. |
Felix Robertson C / OF / Nicolas Gatineau, ON / 20197/27/19 - A 5-foot-11, 185-pound outfielder came up big for Academy Baseball Canada in today’s game. He displayed bat control, the ability to keep his hands back and a fluid path through the hitting zone. He covers the strike zone well and is controlled with his body movements. The big hit for him today was a 2-run single that put ABC up by a large margin. |
Colin Summerhill C / OF / Loyola Academy, IL / 2020Rankings StateRank: 213 / POS: 25
7/26/19 - Ripped a double to left field - 92 mph off the bat - and also collected another single during Top Tier’s win on Friday. Athletic 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame, showed above-average arm strength behind the plate. |
Garrett Byrd OF / OF / Westview, TN / 2020Rankings StateRank: 121 / POS: 28
7/25/19 - A 2020 Uncommitted outfielder put together a great showing in his second game of the week. He went 2/3 with a pair of doubles and a deep fly ball out. There’s bat speed and quickness allowing him to get the bat head out front. Right now his strength is to the pull-side, but with added strength he’ll be able to drive the ball with more authority to right-field. Athletic outfielder with hitting ability to follow the rest of the week. |
Alex Hewitt C / OF / Hamilton Heights, IN / 2020Rankings StateRank: 142 / POS: 17
7/25/19 - A catcher/outfielder for the Mustangs put together a display at the plate on this day. In the early innings, he took a pitch deep over the left-field wall for a home run, and later he took a pitch for a ride to deep left-center, just falling short of getting out. It’s a physical frame which works compact and short to the baseball, he looks to get his bat head out front and let his strength take over. |
Austin Akey OF / 2B / F.W. Bucholz, FL / 20207/25/19 - Isn’t the guy you fall in love with off the bus, but on the field, he’s a gamer. At 5-7, 130, there’s a reason he bats in such a potent lineup, and he showed it today. For a player of his stature, he doesn’t get cheated, but he plays the game the way you hope he would - hard. Not only that, but the swings he put on balls were controlled, aggressive, and he showed an ability to stay inside the ball and control the big part of his bat. Give him a year and some time to grow, and Akey will be a solid college ball player. |
Zavion Mouton OF / Peachtree Ridge , GA / 20207/24/19 - Is a long, rangy CF Prospect who glides to the baseball with good angles. Plays CF easy and covered both gaps. He got a workout today and showed significant defensive ability as Richmond Braves National club hit the ball all over the park. |
Griffin Usher C / OF / Paxton, FL / 20207/27/19 - Has a wiry frame at 6-foot, 155-pounds, some quick twitch muscle. Has a surprising amount of strength at the plate, quick hands and present bat speed, squares the ball up routinely. Hard-nosed player. |
Ian Kennedy 1B / OF / Whitfield Academy, GA / 20207/24/19 - Is a physical specimen at a 6-foot-3, 215-pounds, athletic build with strength throughout. Made head turns in the evening slate of games with loud contact. Quick hands carry strength through contact, ball flies off the bat, is able to drive the ball even when caught off-balance. One of the top uncommitted bats at the 16U level. |
Ryan Horak 1B / RHP / Little Miami, OH / 20206/16/19 - 6-foot-1, 215-pounds. A true two-way prospect. Horak threw a complete game in his only appearance on the mound this weekend. Large, physical frame that had a short and simple swing with above average pop. |
Taylor Shahan OF / 2B / Baylor School, TN / 20207/28/19 - 2020 OF Taylor Shahan (Tennessee Raiders) an outfielder for the Tennessee Raiders came up huge for them this morning. In the outfield, Shahan covered ground, making a diving catch to his left and firing off an accurate throw to first-base for a double play. At the plate, it’s a strong, compact swing and the ball comes off the bat well. He drove in a run with a single through the hole to score the first Raiders run of the day. Interesting player who has ability on both the offensive and defensive side of the game. |
