Central Arkansas commits 5 players from Arkansas at the start of the early signing period. Below you will find our evaluation of all 5 players.
Lance Bonivillain LHP Bryant HS
Bonivillian is a 6-foot 180-pound left-hander with an athletic frame and build. He pitches from a H ¾ slot with a short quick arm action. He does a sound job repeating the mechanics of his simple delivery. He attacks both sides of the plate with his fastball 82-84 mph with late run. He compliments the fastball with a change up thrown 72-74 mph, thrown with fastball arm speed and shows late movement. Overall Bonivillian is a solid athlete with a quick arm action and a feel to compete in the strike zone.
Bonivillian is ranked 29th in the 2017 Arkansas rankings and is the No.2 Left-handed pitcher in this class.
Logan Gilbertson RHP Cabot HS
Gilbertson is a 6-foot-5 190-pound right-hander with a projectable frame and an athletic build. He pitches from a H ¾ arm slot with a quick clean arm action. He does a sound job repeating his mechanics and rhythm. He uses a distinct balance point to allow him to drive to home plate, remaining balanced throughout. His fastball works 83-85 mph with the ability to touch 88 mph. He has the ability to locate both his curveball (69-72 mph) and change up (72-75 mph). Overall Gilbertson is a projectable right-hander with a feel to pitch, he should throw harder as he continues to add strength.
Gilbertson is ranked 14th in the 2017 Arkansas rankings and is the No. 6 Right-handed pitcher in this class.
Adrian Hannah, CIF Searcy High School
Hannah is a 6-foot-1 190-pound corner infielder with a large frame and an average build. He runs 7.19 in the 60. Defensively he works through the baseball with some stiffness, with average footwork. accurately. His arm shows accuracy with carry. Offensively he starts from a balanced stance, with a smooth load, a short stride and a uses solid hip rotation. He attacks the baseball with fast bat speed with a line drive swing. He shows balance through extension. Overall Hannah is an advanced left-handed bat that showed pull power.
Hannah is ranked 12th in the 2017 Arkansas rankings and is the No. 3 corner infielder in this class.
Caleb Kimbel OF Har-ber HS
Kimbel is a 6-foot-1 220-pound OF/1B with a wide frame and a strong build. Defensively he plays through the baseball with fluid heavy footwork, using average hands with some stiffness, he uses a normal exchange with a short arm action from a ¾ arm slot. He throws the ball accurately. Offensively he starts from an open stance with a smooth load short stride. He attacks the baseball with fast bat speed with an uphill swing. He remains balanced through extension. Overall Kimbel is a physical player with raw strength and bat speed.

Cameron Tissue, MIF, Catholic HS
Tissue is a 6-foot 165-pound middle infielder with an athletic frame and build. Defensively he plays through the baseball with fluid footwork, soft hands and a smooth exchange. He throws the ball 78 mph across the infield with accuracy. He throws with a short quick arm. Offensively is where Tissue separates himself, He attacks the baseball with fast bat speed with a line drive swing. He starts from an athletic stance, he has a smooth load and a short stride, and he has shown an advanced feel for the barrel with his line drive swing. Overall Tissue is a well-rounded player with and advanced offensive player, I think he will transition to third or second at the college level but he has the hands to compete at short stop.
