It has been a good week in Arkansas with several players committing to colleges. 2016 RHP/MIF Blake Wynn, and 2016 RHP/OF Garry Hill committed to Arkansas State. 2016 Zach Jackson committed to Arkansas, while 2016 OF Noah Holt committed to Harding. Here is a look at 5 uncommitted 2016 grads.

Jon Youngblood RHP Lakeside HS
Youngblood is a 6-foot, 200-pound right-hander with a large frame and an average body. He has average arm speed and works from a low ¾ arm slot. He pitches 83-86 mph with late run on his fastball. His slider has late Frisbee action thrown at 70-73 mph. He throws his changeup with fastball arm speed however it lacks command at times command. If he tightens up the body a little and gains more pitch ability with the change up. He will be a quality collegiate arm down the line.

 Joe Myers, MIF Catholic HS
Myers is a 6-foot-1, 180-pound middle infielder with a large frame and an athletic build. He runs a 7.06 in the 60. Offensively he starts from a crouched stance, has a smooth load and attacks the baseball with fast bat speed with an uphill swing path. He produces exit velocities up to 86 mph. During his hand load he tends to arm bar, which causes him to be rotational at times. This has not affected him so far as he has put up solid numbers during his career at Catholic HS. He has shown pull power. Defensively he plays through the baseball with choppy footwork, he a quick exchange with an accurate arm. He threw the ball 80 mph across the infield at Arkansas Top Prospects Games. Overall Myers is a baseball player, being skilled above average at all phases of the game.

Caleb Carr, OF, White Hall HS
Carr is a 5-foot-11 180-pound left-handed outfielder with a medium frame and an athletic build. Offensively he has a short line drive swing with fast bat speed producing exit velocities up to 88 mph at Arkansas Top Prospects Games. Defensively he sound working through the baseball with an accurate arm throwing 82 mph from the outfield. Physical tools Carr is above average with sound physical strength and he runs a 6.98 in the 60. Overall Carr is a solid baseball player, above average at all phases of the game, with a workman approach to the game.

Cooper King, MIF, Harrison HS
King is a 5-foot-8, 185-pound middle-infielder with a medium frame and a physical build. Offensively he has a compact swing with a line drive bat path, and good bat speed. He produces exit velocities of 86 mph at Arkansas Top Prospects Games. Defensively he has soft hands and smooth actions as he plays through the baseball. He has a quick exchange with an accurate arm with carry. Athletically average with first step quickness and good lateral movement. Overall King seems to be a hardnosed kid that enjoys playing the game and is very sound at all phases of the game. My overall assessment from this year is the more I have watched him the more impressed I become due to the consistent play.

Joey Savin, LHP, Fayetteville High School
Savin is a 5-10 170-pound LHP with an average frame and an athletic build. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot with a clean quick arm. He tends to get rotational and shows to be an east west slinger at times. If he stays closed he does a good job creating leverage and commanding the strike zone on a consistent bases. His fastball works 82-84 mph with arm-side run. He throws a slider with depth and 1/7 action at 70-72 mph. Moving forward Savin projects to get better with his frame and clean arm action. Adding strength will help greatly.
