2016 Updated Rankings

Here is a look at the updated 2016 rankings. After a busy spring and summer, the rankings have expanded from 55 players to 100 players in this class.

There was not a change with the top spot with LHP Evan Lee remaining at #1 slot. The Arkansas commit is a premium athlete running a 6.7 in the 60, with a strong outfield arm and a short compact swing. On the mound he competes in the strike zone with 3 pitches including a fastball up to 91 mph.

The largest movers in the rankings are pitchers that had questions marks due to injuries, RHP Zach Jackson moved up to #5 the Arkansas commit is fully recovered from Tommy John throwing boring fastball to hitters up to 88 mph with a swing and miss slider. LHP Brandon Matros looks to be recovered from his hip surgery, with his last outing looking sharp commanding the strike zone with two pitches his fastball was 84-86 mph and his curveball was 71-73 mph with some depth. Matros moved up to #9 overall.

The top 20 is pitcher heavy with 14 of the 20 projecting as pitchers in college, MIF Luke Bandy leads the position players garnering the #3 spot. Bandy is a plus athlete running a 6.61 in the 60. He plays through the ball with an elongated exchange and strong accurate arm. Offensively he shows pull power with his fast bat speed and uphill bat path. Bandy is committed to Dallas Baptist.
