1/20/19 - 5-foot-10, 180-pound right-handed hitter begins with an open stance and utilizes a leg-hang towards the pitcher. His strong lower-half generates consistent barrels with feel to all fields and a bat exit velocity of 83 mph. Recorded a 4.68 home-to-first time. Showed consistent ability to soften blocks and move athletically behind the plate. Notched pop times of 2.20-2.28 using quick hands and good forward drive as evidenced by his 72 mph throws from the crouch .
1/21/18 Solid physical frame is present. Offensively, initiates swing from neutral set up with knee to knee leg kick and stride staying neutral. There is solid weight shift while working away from hands achieving substantial separation. Swing is short with balance and rhythm. Bat spends extended time in hitting zone. There is solid leverage through working into firm front side. An 86 mph bat exit velocity was recorded.
Defensively, hands are adequate in framing and receiving. A soft wall with maintenance of good upper body angle is shown in blocking. Transfer is long with developing foot work and low arm angle in throwing.
