The athlete's fastest 60-yard dash time in the given event year. Measured in seconds (s)
7.27
Infield Velocity
The athlete's maximum throwing velocity from an infield position in the given event year. Measured in miles per hour (MPH).
80.0
Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.

8/26/18 Defensively, funnels ball out front and bottom up with active feet to and through the ball. Flashe an accurate 80 mph arm on throws across.
Offensively, 6-foot, 180 pound right-handed hitter initiates swing from neutral set up with controlled stride staying neutral. Separation is excellent, weight shift and hip turn are aggressive. Hands are quick and loose. Bat path is slightly up hill creating natural lift. Swing has balance, rhythm and intent. A 92 mph bat exit velocity was registered. Overall projects to potential next level power bat.
On the mound, the right-hander works out of an over-the-top arm slot. There is significant arm speed. delivery is moderate effort and repeatable. Fastball sat 81-82 mph with arm side run. Curveball at 67-71 mph showed 11/5 shape and good depth. Change up was thrown with good sell and consistent fade. Cline flashed ability to command three pitch mix to all quadrants. Overall presents as potential sleeper in Class of 2019.
1/6/18 Defensively, Cline works bottom up and out front. Hands are adequate. Feet work well to baseball. Benefit would be gained from working more aggressively through the baseball, following throws and shortening throwing motion.
Offensively, swing is initiated from neutral set up with stride staying neutral. An aggressive weight shift working away from hands achieves excellent separation. Weight shift is followed by somewhat passive hip turn, compromised back side release and intermittent early front knee lock resulting in uphill swing path. There is good barrel feel and above average hand speed. Overall swing mechanics suggest considerable power potential. Mechanical changes would likely improve contact skills. An 88 mph bat exit velocity was recorded.
On the mound Cline works out of a mid 3/4 arm slot achieving solid separation and scapular load. Excessive front hip opening leads to some arm drag. There is substantial arm quickness. Under very challenging conditions FB sat 79-80 with arm side run. CB at 64-66 had 11-5 shape with late, sharp break and moderate depth. CH was inconsistent on this day. Overall, presentation makes Cline arm to follow in 2019 class.
