11.18.18 - Defensively, Matthews reads the ball well off the bat. Played this fall for the Appalachian Aces and against college competition played a very solid CF. Rounds the ball extremely well and carries momentum into and through his throws. 82 mph arm was recorded. Reads ball well off the bat.
Offensively, starts in a athletic position with his hands out and away from his body. Uses lower half well and hits to all fields. Recorded a 7.20-sixty which can be attributed to his overall athleticism. He is one of the best overall available 2019's left in the class.
