Louisville commit. Kussow came in clutch to add to the depth of a stellar Arrowhead pitching staff—showcasing his best stuff on the mound toward the end of the season. Kussow tallied a complete game win against their rivals in Muskego, in addition to keeping his program in the Division 1 Quarterfinal against Westosha Central in the next week of action. The right-hander has an electric arsenal that led him to a 5-1 record in 46 innings pitched, accumulating one save in the process. His slider has emerged as one of the top individual pitches in Wisconsin’s 2025 class, in addition to an upper-80s-to-low-90s fastball. Kussow competed against some of the best competition in the state this season and succeeded, setting him up well for the summer and beyond as he enters his senior year.

RHP Peter Kussow (Arrowhead, 2025) was one of the premier arms at the event, touching a showcase-high 92.7 mph with his fastball. It’s a lively arm with a loose, long arm action into a ¾ slot. The Louisville commit uses a high leg lift and drop-and-drive delivery to generate his impressive velocity, showing clear athleticism working downhill. The 6-foot-5 Kussow sat 91-92 mph with life and arm-side run while working in the zone. His curveball has sharp 11/5 action with well above average spin (2,600+ RPM avg.) and the ability to locate, a true out pitch at 80-82 mph. The changeup came out of a slightly lower arm slot but had quality fade and depth. Kussow is undoubtedly one of the top arms in the state and continued to prove as an exciting arm inside of Wisconsin’s junior class.

RHP Peter Kussow (Arrowhead, 2025; Louisville commit) made his return after missing a majority of the spring and summer due to injury. It was a short, but electric, outing for the Louisville commit, who ranged his fastball from 86-88 mph. Arguably his best pitch though was his slider, featuring sharp break and tight spin – something our staff witnessed early on in the winter at the West Milwaukee Preseason ID. He averaged an RPM of 2,686 there, and looked the part at Franklin High School on Sunday. The current No. 3 ranked prospect in Wisconsin’s class has a mature and electric arsenal to work with, looking to maintain his progress over the winter and into the spring.

The No. 3-ranked player in Wisconsin’s 2025 class is Louisville commit RHP Peter Kussow (Arrowhead, 2025), who continued to impress with what he showcased on the mound on Saturday. Kussow stands 6-foot-5, 195 pounds, with extra-long levers that he repeats well for his age and size, especially. He moves smoothly down the mound and, even with his long arm circle, he releases the ball consistently from a high ¾ window that makes for a steep entrance to and through the zone on a fastball that lived in the 88-89 mph range (89.5 max). He pairs the firm, heavy fastball with an out-pitch weapon, his slider. It’s an aggressive, go-to secondary that he showed excellent feel for, landing it in and beneath the zone regularly at 79-80 mph. It has sharp, late, downer action that spins right around the 2,700 rpm range on average, with a firm, fading changeup, 82-84 mph, as a fine third pitch in his mix. Kussow exemplified why he is one of the top arms in the entire Midwest, and he’s gaining even more momentum after this performance.
