Southern Indiana commit. In a similar fashion to Peters, Roell finds himself back on an All-State team for the second year in a row. The senior was the top producer in the North Shore Conference in 2024—winning Player of the Year against tough competition. Roell hit an impressive .526 from the middle of West Bend East’s lineup—accumulating 36 RBIs and 28 runs scored in the process. He was named the Prep Baseball Wisconsin Player of the Week earlier in the year after carrying the Suns to a couple of wins over conference foes. Roell highlighted the season with a two-out, game-tying three-run home run against Slinger, all while following it up with a grand slam versus Whitefish Bay. It summed up a quality two seasons turned in by the star senior, who committed in the middle of the year to Southern Indiana. He added to his value as a shut down arm on the mound, too. Roell tallied four saves and was 4-2 on the bump—allowing three earned runs in 31.2 innings of work. His individual performances elevated the Suns in conference play and beyond, as he completed his prep career in style.
4/11/24
Uncommitted, Roell picked up where he left off from the 2023 season. At the plate, Roell is a top of the order hitter, hitting 7-for-10 with a double, two triples while driving in six runs and scoring nine himself. Also drawing six walks and bringing his on-base percentage to .813 so far on the year. Roell has also played strong defense out of the gate not committing an error on the year so far. On the mound, Roell picked up a save in his lone appearance striking out two batters in one inning.

INF Mason Roell (West Bend East, 2024) was one of the top producers for his high school team during the spring, earning him Third Team All-State honors and putting him on the radar as an uncommitted infielder, setting up for a quality summer. Roell stands at an athletic 6-foot-2, 175-pounds, and in our first look at the to-be senior since the winter, notable improvements were made. On the infield, from the shortstop position, Roell fired in throws with carry, maxing out at 85 mph. His twitch and quickness was translated on the offensive end as well, where the right-handed batter was able to backspin and drive the baseball with quick hands and ease. Roell’s pull-side usage was noteworthy, as he created leverage and elevated pitches during his swing, projecting as a quality hitter in the future. His work as a two-way prospect for West Bend East in the spring cannot be understated, as Roell continues to trend up in a loaded 2024 class in the Badger State.

INF Mason Roell (West Bend East, 2024) is a lean 6-foot-2, 175-pound athlete with a smooth right-handed swing that resulted in some of the soundest quality of contact at this event. He produces above-average bat and hand speed that helped him average an exit speed of 88.2 mph (95.8 max), and his tall, but slight frame makes him a candidate to be a late-bloomer type should he add strength that will help him improve on an already impressive offensive profile. Roell was also a sure-handed infielder with athletic actions and fluid footwork, and he was 83 mph across the diamond on his throws to first.
