6/25/24
South Dakota State commit. The two-way star once again finds his name on an All-State team, as Jirschele was the heart and soul of one of the top Division 2 programs in the state. He concluded a storied prep career in 2024, one that was summarized by his presence in the leadoff spot for Mosinee. Jirshcele held the position for multiple years, as he entered the State Tournament with a .400 BA and 38 hits for the Indians. He was a threat on the basepaths, too. Jirschele tallied 37 stolen bases on the year, getting in scoring position with ease during his time on base. The senior demonstrated his prowess at the plate with a couple of RBIs in front of our staff at the State Tournament a couple of weeks ago—summarizing his status as a star in the 2024 class. Before he came to Appleton, Jirschele was 9-1 with a save on the mound—punching out 73 batters in 54.2 innings. He was a mainstay in their rotation—leading Mosinee to a Great Northern Conference championship and more in his final season of his prep career.
4/19/24

South Dakota State commit, Jirschele went 7-for-11 with a double and two home runs, driving in four runs and stealing five bases. On the mound, against conference rival Medford the right-hander tossed six innings allowing four hits and a walk striking out six batters in an 11-1 win.

9/23/23

RHP/INF Keagen Jirschele (Mosinee, 2024) - Jirschele, who represented the Badger State at the 2022 PBR Future Games, is one of the top-ranked uncommitted athletes in the state’s senior class. He has added strength to his frame since we last saw him over the summer, and the bat-speed was noticeable. In the first game on Sunday, he hit cleanup for the Rays. Jirschele showed a knack for the barrel and the ability to drive the ball the other way. He launched a loud bases-clearing double to the opposite-field wall, missing a grand slam by a matter of inches. Later on in the day, Jirschele showcased his two-way abilities as he hopped up on the mound to finish the weekend off. On the mound, Jirschele gets all of his strong, 5-foot-10, 180-pound frame into it, working aggressively downhill and pairing it with a strong and quick arm. During his outing, Jirschele sat in the upper-80s throughout and touched 88 mph multiple times, too. He also featured a tight, short slider in the high-70s that he was able to throw in and around the zone. He rounded out his three-pitch mix with a low-80s changeup that was used sparingly, but did flash some fade to the armside.

7/11/23

2022 Future Game Participant, SS/RHP Keagen Jirschele (Mosinee, 2024) seemed like he was hard at work during the offseason, and he got to show off these massive gains during Tuesday’s loaded event. First, Jirschele showed up boasting a more filled out and physical 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame with strength all throughout. He started his day off by running the quickest 60-yard dash of the day at 6.79, which speaks to just how much of an athlete Jirschele is. Then during BP he recorded some of the top batted ball metrics of the event, from a strong and repeatable right-handed swing. During his round, Jirschele reached highs of 100.6 mph on his hardest hit ball and averaged 92.7 mph which was an event high. Then during the infield defensive portion he featured clean, athletic actions and paired it with a strong arm that topped at 92 mph across the infield. While Jirschele’s big jumps on the offensive side of things were impressive in their own right, the strides he has made on the mound were arguably even more eye-popping as he put together one of the most electric outings we have seen this summer. During his brief one inning of work, Jirschele ran his fastball all the way up to 92 mph, and sat in the 88-91 range exclusively, while spinning it at above-average rates (2,151 RPM avg.). He also spun in an aggressive curveball for strikes that was thrown at arm speed and featured 11/5 action. He rounded out his three-pitch mix with a changeup that he used sparingly, but still featured fade and depth traits. The tools Jirschele currently possesses are truly eye-popping, and he has always had an innate feel for the game, no matter the position. He has made some incredible strides over the course of the past year or so, and he is now truly one of the top uncommitted prospects not only in the state, but the Midwest.
