Hit: RHH. Narrow and upright set up, quiet and easy toe tap, lands centered on time, impressive rhythm, hitterish. Loose hands, flat path with extension through the ball, controls his body with a balanced finish, uses levers well to elevate. 69.4 mph bat speed with 14 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 95 max exit velocity, averaged 88.0 mph. 347' max distance.
Arm: RH. INF-90 mph. High 3Q slot, carry and accuracy.
Defense: Quality feet, rangy first step quickness, soft hands.

RHP/SS Ben Kuglitsch (Muskego, 2026) cemented his status as one of the top players in his class on Saturday, with one of the top showings of the day. Starting on the mound, Kuglitsch is a clean and athletic mover downhill, pairing it with a loose arm that produced some of the event's top fastball velocities. During his ‘pen lit it up as he ran his lively fastball up to 91.3 mph and also featured over 16” of induced vertical break. As for offspeeds, he spun in a mid-to-upper-70s slider with quick downer break that he was able to spot up low in the zone. His changeup was also a quality offering, as it plays with fading action while being thrown at arm speed. Kuglitsch also put together one of the top overall days as a position player, too - his 6.92 60-yard dash was the best of the event. Offensively, he has loose hands with a flat bat path and extension through the ball, controlling his body and his levers well to hit the ball hard and elevate. Defensively he has a quick first step and soft hands with the ability to stick on the left-side of the infield at the next-level, with an arm that reached 90 mph across the diamond. This was just the most recent standout performance that Kuglitsch has put together in front of our staff during his short prep career, and it probably won't be his last.

Saturday gave us our first showcase look at SS Ben Kuglitsch (Muskego, 2026), who is one of the states top prospects, regardless of class. Kuglitsch, a top-85 ranked player in our national rankings, started off his day by running a 7.03 in the 60-yard dash, which speaks to the advanced athleticism Kuglitsch currently possesses. He then moved over to the infield defense portion of the event and there he really stole the show. While on the infield, Kuglitsch is an athletic mover with fluid actions that point to him having the ability to stick at the shortstop position in the long run, and he pairs his advanced actions with a advanced arm that topped at 89 mph across the diamond. Offensively, Kuglitsch sets up with rhythm and utilizes a free and easy swing that creates leverage to drive the ball hard to all parts of the field. He registered some of the day's loudest metrics, with a 93.7 mph max exit velocity, and an average bat speed of 73.9 mph. Overall, Kuglitsch is an advanced prospect within the states talented freshman class and his performance at the MOSH was just the first of many impressive ones we expect to see throughout his prep career.

Power: 94 max exit velocity, averaged 78.1 mph. 337’ max distance.
Arm: RH.  INF - 89 mph.  Quick arm, consistent, repeats, carry through the target, accurate.
Defense: Two-hand gather, fluid actions, moves well laterally, soft hands, athletic, accurate.
Run: 7.03 runner in the 60. 

Kuglitsch slots in at the second spot on our first look at this class. At a wiry and projectable 6-foot-2, 155 pounds, Kuglitsch first made himself known to our staff at the summer championships at The Rock. Using a short compact stroke with very quick hands, Kuglitsch’s hit and power tools stood out to us with his ability to hit balls hard to all over the diamond and loft balls over the fence. His power will continue to be one of his carrying tools as his frame will continue to fill out and get stronger. Additionally, Kuglitsch has smooth athletic actions at shortstop with plenty of arm to stick on the left side of the diamond. Kuglitsch also impresses on the mound with a fastball up to 85 mph and ability to use his offspeed for strikes. Kuglitsch has an extremely high ceiling and is one of the more exciting prospects to keep an eye on going forward.

Premium frame, proportional with sloped shoulders and long levers, plenty of room to fill out. Burst and quickness to the athlete, clean actions. Direct handsy swing with whippy bat speed, sees the ball, good swing decisions, battles in at bat. Actions to stick at SS, good clock and rhythm.
