10.23.16 - Athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 175-pounds. Ran a 4.40 home-to-1st. Hits from a tall, balanced setup with a wide stance. Good rhythm with a repeatable approach. Level bat path to the ball that finishes uphill. Good extension through contact. Opportunity to drive bottom half more. Exit velocity of 89mph.  Showed active feet and soft hands in the field. Throws from a ¾ arm slot with a quick, compact arm action. Throws across the diamond of 79mph. Worked through the ball well in the outfield. Showed a clean exchange and transition throwing from a high ¾ arm slot. Throws from the outfield had good carry on them at 86mph…Pitched 80-83mph. Throws from a high ¾ arm slot with a quick arm action and some effort. Delivery was repeatable while showing good rhythm overall. Can finish tall at times through release. Breaking ball showed 11/7 shape with average rotation. Breaking ball was 62-63mph. Threw changeup with near fastball arm speed. Showed slight fade and sink on the pitch. Changeup was 70-73mph.
5.22.16:  Burke is 6-0 tall and has a lankier athletic frame. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a long, quick arm action that generates velocity with normal effort. Shoulders are uphill and closed and he has a square landing with an athletic finish. Fastball had good angle and sat 79-82, touching 83. Slowed arm a bit on 10/4 slider that was 62-63. Decent armspeed on fading change-up that was 70-73. Burke hits from a wide, preloaded stance. He has a low elbow start, is short to the baseball, and ends in a long, uphill finish. He showed good bat speed and power with an exit velocity of 89. Defensively, Burke threw 86 from the outfield out of a long arm action. His footwork was smooth and he covered a lot of ground in his transfer. After release, he stayed in line to target.
