Physical athlete with strength present in his back and shoulders. Abrahamson put his power on display at the Future Games this past summer, but had some swing and miss. I think part of it was caused by the high level of intent and too many moving pieces in the swing. Last night he still had the intent in the swing, but appears to have quieted the head and is keeping the front side locked on longer. Showed better plate discipline versus a few arms that struggled to throw strikes. Overall the swing still possesses the power he showed this summer, while flashing a higher contact rate.

Abrahamson is 6-2 with an athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, strides on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, uphill swing path, very strong at contact with extension through the ball, showed a pull approach, a lot of power present, exit velocity was 103. In the outfield, gets body behind the ball and fields through it with above average hands, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short very quick arm action, position velocity was 89. Ran a 7.02 60 yard dash.

6-foot-2, 187-pound frame with athleticism and physicality. Abrahamson is a solid defender that has the range and arm strength to play all three outfield spots and definitely has the juice in the bat to hit in the middle of an order. Arm strength was 89 from the outfield and he put on a show during batting practice of the workout day. Had the top Trackman exit velocity at 103.65 mph as well as 4th best average exit velo at 94.68 mph. Uphill tilt to the swing with present pull side strength and does not get cheated in any count. There is some swing and miss at times, but he is a guy that when hot has the chance to impact the middle of an order in a big way.
