Future Games Team Mid-Atlantic: Day 2 Notes

Facebook+InstagramOn Monday, Team Mid-Atlantic wrapped up its 2020 Future Games with a game against Team Carolinas. There was a lot of action and here are some quick-hitter notes on performances from the day's games.
-Nick Ciliberti (2022, Riverside, VA) started the game on the mound. He walked the leadoff hitter but then retired the next six hitters he faced in his two innings of work, striking out five of them, four of which were looking.

-Chase Killen (2022, Lake Forest, DE) singled sharply to left in his first at-bat, picking up his third hit of the weekend.

-Austin Younce (2022, Greenbrier Christian, VA) had an RBI double to deep left-center in his first at-bat of the game.

-Brian Curley (2022, Trinity Episcopal, VA) was strong in his two innings, striking out four and allowing just a lone infield hit.

-Jake Moore (2023, Chatham, VA) continued his hot weekend, doubling to left-center and running his weekend up to 5-7 overall.

-Mikey Banch Caliz (2022, James River-Midlothian, VA) was 2-3 in the game, singling to center in his first at-bat and hammering a double into the leftfield corner in his final at-bat.

-Landon Abrahamson (2022, Miller School, VA) had a very loud workout day on Saturday, impressing during his BP round and posting and exit velocity off the tee of 95 while also hitting 89 from the outfield.
One of the better power displays of the day (so far) coming from ‘22 OF Landon Abrahamson (VA) who sent a full collection of balls deep over the LC fence.

-Kenneth Schaedel (2022, Cape Henry, VA) showed his batting eye over the weekend, working three walks and being hit by a pitch in his seven plate appearances. He had a very loud workout day on Saturday, running a 7.12 60 yard dash, posting a Team Mid-Atlantic best exit velocity of 101 off the tee, and hitting 89 from the outfield.
