Gimbel is 6-1 with an athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a balanced athletic stance, short stride on line, short smooth load back. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains good lower half balance. Stays inside ball, short to contact point, has some batspeed. Slightly uphill swing path, showed good approach working gap to gap, has extra base power in the alleys, exit velocity was 86. In the outfield, quick feet, gets behind ball and plays through it to his target, fielding with above average hands. Quick clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action, outfield velocity was 88. Ran a 6.87 60 yard dash.

He hits from the right side from a slightly open athletic stance, strides on line, smooth short load back, some rhythm to his set-up. Hips rotate with some explosion, has some balance to swing as well. Keeps hands inside, short to ball, slightly uphill line drive swing, showed good approach, primarily working gap to gap, swing sets up well to shoot the gaps, exit velocity was 82. In the outfield, good feet, gets behind ball and plays through it well, fielding with above average hands. Quick, clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, showed some accuracy on his throws, outfield velocity was 84. Ran a 4.57 home to first. On the mound, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with short free arm action and normal effort. Drop and drive delivery, keeps everything on line and finishes in an athletic position. Fastball was 75-77, touching 78, with some downward plane and a bit of late run to it. Curveball was 64-66 with 10/4 break and some shape to it, also thrown with some armspeed. Change-up was 68-69 with good armspeed and a bit of fade to it.

Fastball sat 75-78, touching 80 with a bit of late run to it. Curveball was 63-65 with 11/5 break and some sharpness and armspeed. Knuckleball was 67-69 with some armspeed and late dance.
