Weber showed pitchability on the game as usual. Fastball was 81-82, touching 83 and he moved it around the strike zone. Change-up was 72-74 and his curveball was 66-67. It was a short relief appearance so he stuck with one speed on his curveball. He showed the ability to throw all three pitches in any count and move them around the strike zone.
Top Prospect Games 6/19/18
Weber is 6-0 with an athletic frame and throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short free arm action and easy effort. Closed off delivery that he repeats well, hides ball and creates deception. Fastball was 80-82, touching 83, with some sink to it, showed ability to command to both sides of the plate. Curveball was 66-68 with sharp 1/7 break and some armspeed, can change shape and speed of pitch. Change-up was 73-74 with some late run and good armspeed. Commands all three pitches in any count.

Weber had has pregame preparation interrupted by a rain delay. Got through his entire warm-up and took the field, finishing his eight warm-up pitches there before a lightning delay was called, which last 50 minutes. Once the game finally got underway, Weber sat 80-82 and touched 83 in the early innings, settled into 79-81 in the fourth inning. Pitch had some late run. Change-up had fade and some armspeed at 67. Showed the ability to change the shape and speed of his curveball, throwing some big slow ones in the 61-62 range to get ahead of hitters and throwing it harder and sharper in the 66-69 range later in counts. Had feel for the strike zone with all three pitches, moved the curveball around the zone impressively. Very easy effort to his delivery, looked like he was just playing catch.
Preseason All-State 2/17/18
