Central VA Prospect ID: Pitcher Analysis

The Central Virginia Prospect ID was held on Tuesday June 13 at the Virginia Sports complex in Ruther Glen, VA. Athletes from around the state came to perform in front of the PBR scouting staff and colleges from the state. Here is a full breakdown of the pitchers from that event:
Derek Domecq LHP/OF Western Albemarle 2018
Domecq has a strong, athletic frame. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action with normal effort. Shoulders are level and closed, lands closed, classic lefty crossfire, finishes in an athletic position. Fastball was 81-82, touching 83, good angle and late run to it. Change-up had good armspeed and fading action, running 76-78. Slider also had good armspeed and late hard 2/8 break, 74-76.
Kyle Keahi Layugan RHP/C Mid-Pacific Institute (HI) 2018
Layugan has an athletic frame with a strong lower half. Throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, long arm action that is free and quick, normal effort to delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands slightly open with a bit of a fall off finish. Fastball sat 82-83 and touched 84 with hard late run. Curveball was 68-69 with hard 11/5 action. Cutter had late hard 10/4 break, was 77-80. Slider was similar to cutter in 72-75 range with more break. Change-up had good armspeed and was 69-72 with heavy late fade to it. Showed command and feel for all of his pitches.
Logan Ransom LHP Steward School 2019
Ransom has an athletic frame. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short, quick arm action and some effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders closed and uphill, lands slightly closed with an athletic finish. Fastball sat 81-83, touched 85 with some late run. Slider had some armspeed and late hard 2/8 break, running 71-74. Change-up was thrown with some armspeed, pitch was 74-76 with some run.
Dylan Weber LHP/OF Dominion 2019
Weber has an athletic frame, on the mound, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a longer, loose arm action and easy effort to his delivery. Shoulders are level and closed, lands square with an athletic finish. Fastball was 77-79, touching 80, with some run to it. Change-up had some armspeed and fading action at 68-70. Slider had some armspeed and sharp 2/8 break, running 62-64.
Aidan Willard OF Briar Woods 2019
Willard has a lanky frame. Throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a longer arm action and some effort. Shoulders are uphill and slightly closed, lands square with an athletic finish. Fastball was 74-76, touching 77, with some boring action to it. Change-up had some armspeed and was 70-73 with some fading action. Curveball was 65-68 with gradual 11/5 break.
