6/12/18 - Max FB: 82, FB: 79-82, Avg FB: 80.40, CB: 67-68, CH: 74-76,
6-foot-0, 160-pound, RHP shows projectable arm-speed, but projects best as a middle infielder. Medium, lean profile w/ thin frame throughout, super projectable. Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ release from the third base side of the rubber. Quick arm works. Straight FB shows occasional short arm side run. Short downer CB comes up out of hand, loose rotation. Straight CH shows occasional fade and sink. Thrower developing feel for the strike zone. Struggled to command on this day, projects to control.
6/12/18 - Home-1st: 4.63, Position Velocity: IF-85, Exit Velocity: 79
6-foot-0, 160-pound, RHH shows intriguing defensive profile w/ better bat speed than exit velocity indicates. Medium, lean profile w/ thin frame throughout, super projectable. Has just scratched the surface of his frame potential. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into shift of weight (occasionally very early), leg kick (occasional toe tap) and short hand load. Generates above average bat speed through the zone. Developing timing, gets out on his front foot at times, drifts towards the baseball. Just needs reps against quality pitching to understand his swing and how to begin his trigger mechanism, how to control lower half. Pull oriented approach w/ some pull power. Projectable power bat as frame begins to mature. Projectable average to above average runner, gave a run time of 4.46 in game last weekend. Defensively, moves well w/ soft hands, easy arm strength. Projectable above average defender w/ more in game reps, learning which hops to attack in game, how to put himself in the best position by attacking the baseball and fielding the ground balls on the hops he wants.
12/10/16 - 60 Time: 7.80, Position Velocity: IF-77, Exit Velocity: 76
6-foot-0, 140-pound, RHH hits from a taller and slightly closed stance with some consistent hand movement, uses a toe-tap and stride with a quietening of his hands to get loaded, lower half fires well and puts him in a strong and balanced position on a consistent basis, hips get cleared, bat path was pretty flat but got a little steep on pitches down in the zone, showed a low line drive and groundball approach. Defensively, showed pretty good hands and footwork around the infield, showed some range to his left, plays through the ball and toward the bag, shorter arm action is efficient and comes through a high ¾ release.
