2/14/16 No prospect at the event made a bigger leap from the last time we saw him than this 6-foot-1, 185-pounder. Following a summer of sitting in the upper-70s and topping out at 81-mph, Kinsell ran his fastball into the 85-87 range during his bullpen. He pitched with good tempo in his wind-up, while featuring a compact delivery and throwing from a high three-quarter slot. Didn't have a great feel for his curveball on this day, but flashed a solid one in the mid-60s. His mid-70s change-up was fairly straight with occasional fade, while it showed some dive at the lower end of the velocity spectrum.

6/24/15 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame. Pitched out of a high three-quarter slot with good tempo in delivery. Stuff was a bit down from when we saw him the previous week (fastball sat 79-81 then) and command wasn’t quite as sharp either. This time out, fastball sat 78-79 and was often up in zone or pulled gloveside. Curveball at 64-65 had solid 11/5 action.
6/17/15 Projectable frame with some present strength (6-foot-1, 175-pounds). Pitched out of a three-quarter slot from a slightly crossfire delivery. Threw strikes with fastball that sat 79-81. Curveball at 63-65 varied in shape from 10/4 to 11/5 early in outing, but had more consistent 11/5 break as he found the feel, in addition to throwing it for strikes more consistently.
9/14/14 Kinsell sat 75-77 from a high 3/4arm slot with some cut action to his fastball over three innings of scoreless work. The 6-foot, 170-pound junior also commanded a 62 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation and a solid 69 mph changeup thrown frequently and at fastball arm speed. Kinsell mixed pitches well and got ahead of hitters. His changeup was very effective leading to six strikeouts and three ground ball outs.
