A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average

Arm Slot
Angle of the forearm relative to the ground between maximum external rotation (MER) and ball release (BR). Which can be a powerful player comparison metric, delivered in degrees.
Knee Extension Velo
The angular velocity of the front knee straightening after foot plant, which provides indicators of velocity potential. Measured in degrees per second.
Deception
The amount of time that the ball is visible to the hitter, after the instant of front foot strike. Measures in milliseconds.
Hip-Shoulder Separation
The difference in angle of between the hips and shoulders, occurring close to the foot plant. Measured in degrees.
Physical: Projectable, athletic 6-foot-2, 195lb frame with plenty of ceiling.
Pitching: RHP. Begins from the far left side of the rubber; quicker pace to start with a slight pause at the stack and twitchy move through the finish. Commanded east-west parts of the zone from a whippy ¾ slot at 85-87 mph on the FB. Mixed a banger 72-77 mph SL (2697) with advanced feel and developing 79-80 mph CH to round out the arsenal. Tossed two scoreless innings.
6/14/22
Physical: Athletic, high ceiling 6-foot-2, 190lb frame with RTF. 7.46 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Balanced, square stance, as the hands operated under control, above the shoulder. Utilized a leg-kick stride to uncoil the body through a flat, connected path into the hitting zone towards a two-handed finish. Produced easy bat-speed to the middle of the field, working short-to-long for a T95 mph exit velocity. Showed off a clean rotational skill set with a developing extra-base hit approach into the 324 foot range.
Pitching: RHP. Efficient mover from a compact delivery, closing the early hip/shoulder separation gap with a lightning-fast arm out of ¾ slot. Held the glove-side of the plate with plenty of life at 83-86 mph (2718), mixing a plus SL at 73-77 mph (2813) with swing/miss potential. Added small-fading upper-60’s CH with some feel.
2/27/22
Physical: High follow in an athletic 6-foot-1, 180lb frame. 8.02 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Crouched, even stance, as the hands operated high at the shoulder. Utilized a calm leg lift stride to initiate the swing through a quick, compact flat path towards a two-handed rotated finish. Liked the pull-side of the field to do damage, extending on the ball at the front of the plate. Posted a T91 mph bat-exit velocity at his peak up to a 300 foot distance, doubles power available.
Defensively: The shortstop displayed clean range to either side and an accurate glove hand, low to the ground. Fielded with momentum and released to the target from a ¾ slot (86 mph, run, accurate). Made the play on the run naturally across his body.
Pitching: RHP - The righty was electric from the middle of the rubber; fast pace and plenty of arm-speed/separation from ¾ slot. Repeated the delivery and got over the front side on the offspeed. Landed jumpy 86-87 mph FB and mixed a hard-sweeping 73-75 mph SL for swing/miss ability. A quality 78-80 mph CH was commanded to the arm-side and rounded out the arsenal with late movement on a 74-77 mph CUT.
6/15/21
Physical: Lengthy, projectable 6-foot-1, 170lb frame with athleticism found in the actions. 7.78 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: RHH - Balanced, bent stance outside of shoulder-width using a controlled flat barrel above the shoulder to start. Utilized a leg lift stride up/down and entered the hitting zone through a flat path. Displayed short rotational finish to the backside shoulder allowing for a 40% line drive rate (via Trackman) adding a T71 mph bat-speed with ability to handle pitches on the inner half. Drove the ball at head height in all quadrants, getting extended at the front of the plate. Hit into a stiff front side producing a T87 mph bat-exit velocity and there’s more in the tank.
Defensively: The shortstop approached on time with an active glove hand working low to the ground. Hopped out of the prep step showing right-left momentum down through the fielding window. Above-average defender qualities and quick pace, releasing with a shuffle at H ¾ slot (84 mph arm, carry).
Pitching: RHP - Started off the middle of the rubber with good pace and athleticism down the slope. Got stacked at a balanced position, maintaining rhythm and repeatability in the delivery. Pounded from a loose, fluid ¾ slot at 83-85 mph, working corner to corner attacking early in counts. Mixed a well spun T2700+ rpms SL at 72-74 mph for strikeouts up to 17+ inches of HM across the plate. Big time K potential as he matures/adds a third pitch.
2/14/21
Physically: 6’ 160lb RHP/SS ran a 7.88 laser timed 60-yard dash. Solid build has room for added strength and overall growth.
Offensively: Starts with a simple widened out stance with preloaded hands. Uses a small foot lift /stride and a short hand load to begin his timing mechanism. Controls the barrel nicely throughout the swing
Defensively: Allows feet to have continuous movement throughout the entire fielding process. This allows him to flow in a positive direction towards his target and maintain momentum. Glove plays low to the ground as he uses two hands to receive the ground ball.
Pitching: Slow and deliberate windup, maintains control of body weight throughout the pitch. Starts slightly turned towards the 3rd base line, he uses a rocker step to build up energy just before the leg lift. Arm works short and quick.
