8.16.18 - 5-foot-9, 190-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and initiates his swing with a short, leg-hang stride. Displayed a strong lower half and a feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 84 mph. Ran a 7.25 60-yard dash and displayed a quiet receiving hand a soft wall for blocking during bullpen sessions. Showcased pop times of 2.20-2.27 on throws of 73 mph out of the crouch.
12.12.15 - 5-foot-9, 185-pound catcher with physical build flashed above average foot speed for the position (7.15 60-yard dash). The freshman flashed a solid set up with sound catch and throw techniques. Saylor displayed quick feet, a clean transition and an accurate throwing arm with pop times of 2.12-2.22 on throws of 74 mph from the crouch. Work to eliminate a small hitch in his arm motion would lead to an immediate improvement in pop times. Saylor starts his right-handed swing from a square stance with a high hands load. He initiates his swing with a toe tap stride and struggles to be on time to the hitting zone with regularity due to a significant armbar.
