10.01.17 - Named to Junior National Team Fall Instructional Roster
8/04/17
The 6-foot-3, 186-pound left-hander pitched with the wind blowing at his face, and sat mostly 82-83 throughout his outing, up to 84 mph. He was up-tempo and smooth in his motion, and delivered out of a near ¾ slot that allowed for arm side run in the zone. Long-limbed, Pullford-Thorpe appears to reach out and touch the glove, and I envision him jumping up into the 88-90 range in the future while showing the same feel for a 2/8 breaking ball that he throws for strikes in and out of the zone at 70-71. Really nice arm to continue to watch develop.
7/24/17
A crafty lefty with a live arm at 6-foot-3, Keegan is skinny, but has room to add more size and muscle mass as he matures. Low effort, repeatable, and athletic delivery, throws from a 3/4 slot. Long stride and shows great balance on the mound throughout his delivery. Clean arm action, ball comes out of his hand cleanly. Fastball sat between 81-83 mph, has been up to 85 in past with late arm-side sinking action. Great feel for secondary pitch. Late-breaking sweeping action on his curveball, which sat at 68-70mph. The 2019 classman looks like a very promising lefty pitcher, who will be fun to watch as he continues to develop.
4/15/17
Left-hander with clean arm action from 3/4 slot with feel for both curveball and changeup to go along with fastball that was 82-84 with arm side run. Athletic delivery, repeats well, Curveball has 2/8 shape that showed potential swing and miss stuff. Strong frame at 6-fot-3, 175-pounds, young left-hander with major upside and one of top prospects in 2019 class. Is a standout hockey player as well
8/22/16
Projectable left-handed arm that is clean and easy out the hand, athletic two-way player who also has compact swing at the plate and can drive the ball gap-to-gap. Body projects to grow and gain strength, standout hockey player as well. Will be one of the top prospects from 2019 class with his ability to pitch from the left-side as well play role with the bat and glove.
