2022 Cloud County commit RHP Ethan Price was easily the most electric player we saw at Gulf Coast State on Tuesday. It was a live arm that saw the ball jumping out of his hand at 88-90, topping out at 91. Opponents had a tough time catching up to the fastball and when he got on top of his curveball, it had some downward bite. He’s an athlete on the mound and it shows. The arm is quick and has continued to trend upwards every time out. An under the radar arm in Ontario who’s name you need to know.

2022 Ethan Price was the standout on the bump and the high school senior really took a jump from last year’s Scout Day. He sat 84-86 on the mound along with a curveball at 72-74 with downward action. The arm is loose, quick and there’s life on the fastball with above-average spin-rates. Price also worked up to 90 mph from the outfield and ran a 7.20 60-yard dash. There’s still lots of room for Price to get stronger and continue developing on an already exciting toolset on the mound.

With Price, the first thing that really stands out is his arm and the ability to throw the ball from the outfield, which translates over to the mound in game. In the OF it is loose, quick, and had easy carry with good life and accuracy. On the mound, it's short in the back and works from a ¾ slot out-front in the 82-83 range that is mixed in with a CB and CH. He moves well throughout his delivery and there is some athleticism to work with on all fronts of his game. At the plate, it is more of a contact approach and will be someone who has to use the whole field. OVerall Price really stood out on the mound on this day, as well as the OF and the ability he has to throw the ball is something that is going to carry him to the next level.
