The 2023 1B/outfielder showed his defensive versatility and the future power potential throughout the week for Team Oklahoma. During the workout day Mitchell showcased an arm that was up to 85 mph in the outfield and an impressive 83 mph reading across the diamond from first. He has good footwork and takes good routes at both spots making him a valuable piece that can play the corners. During the BP session Mitchell showed the ability to match plane with the pitch very well to go along with solid hand speed and bat speed metrics. During the games Mitchell got extended on a ball on Saturday showing what he is capable of with the bat on a hard hit double down the left field line. Mitchell does a good job of getting the most out of his lower half with a 50/50 weight distribution at contact and good sequencing.
