Hunter Jones: C/RHP, (2021) Norman North, OK. 6-foot, 195-pound sturdy frame. In the box, the left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 84 mph. Started in a crouched stance with a small load, then used a quick stride just before his swing. Bat speed was some, used flat swing plane and high finish. Barreled up some balls throughout his round. Base hit approach. Behind the plate, displayed next-level catching ability by boasting a 1.93-2.15 pop time, he recorded a position velocity of 75 mph during throw downs; has a clean exchange, sure hands and average feet. Some flexibility and wide setup.Showed a short arm action and a high ¾ slot with decent accuracy to the base. Recorded a 60 time of 7.62 at the event.

Displayed a physical and proportional 6-foot, 195-pound frame with athleticism and comfortability in his actions. The left-handed hitter begins with a wide, even stance utilizing a lift-and-replace stride to initiate a flat barrel path into the hitting zone. Showcased a repeatable stroke with a strong top hand at contact point. Hips pull up slightly early while hitting into a front side with late give. Generated an 84 mph bat-exit velocity with a pull-side approach off the tee. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. The primary backstop showed adequate receiving skills with minimal body sway and a soft glove hand at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 1.99-2.07 on accurate throws of 74 mph from the crouch out of a high ¾ arm-slot. Created soft walls on blocks to both sides with downward chest angles.

A durable and broad shouldered 6-foot, 195-pound frame present strength especially in the lower half. On the mound, the right-hander works from a simple and up-tempo delivery with some rhythm and a moderate leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action has moderate length in the back making a fluid circle before coming through a high-¾ slot with some arm speed. Fastball sits 79-81 mph with cut to the glove side and run to the arm side, nearly all strikes. Curveball has 11/5 shape with some late depth at 65-69 mph.

Demonstrated feel for a physical 6-foot, 195-pound frame with a strong lower half. The left-handed hitter begins with a wide, even stance utilizing a leg-lift to initiate his swing. Generated a slightly uphill barrel path into the hitting zone with some lower half glide. Registered an 85 mph bat-exit velocity and ran a 7.40 60-yard dash. The primary backstop displayed adequate receiving skills with a soft glove hand at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 1.98-2.12 on throws of 77 mph from the crouch out of a high ¾ arm-slot. Flashed solid blocking skills creating downhill angles and soft walls with adequate recovery ability.

The primary backstop featured a physical 6-foot, 195-pound frame with a feel for his body. The left-handed hitter begins with a wide, even stance utilizing a short lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Generated a flat barrel path through the hitting zone while hitting into a stiff front side. Showcased advanced barrel whip while registering a solid 90 mph bat-exit velocity from the tee. Showed an all fields approach in BP. In the game, Jones had an RBI double to deep center and flew out to deep center. Recorded a 7.44 60-yard dash. The catcher flashed a soft glove had while receiving with minimal body sway at the catch point. Pop times ranged from 1.93-2.02 on accurate throws of 74 mph out of a fluid high ¾ arm-slot with a moderate takeaway. Used smooth transfers and adequate straight line footwork to command throws on the bag. Deadened the ball on blocks creating soft walls and advantageous angles. 

9/08/19

A 6-foot, 195-pound solid frame; C/RHP. During batting practice, the left-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph. Begins in a crouched a wide  stance, has a small load and uses a short stride. Shows explosive bat speed, a flat swing plane and a high finish. In BP , found mostly barrels. His best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 74 mph for showcase pop times of 2.12-2.15; displayed quick footwork, firm hands and a quick exchange. Showed decent accuracy to the bag with a high ¾ slot and a compact arm action. During the event, he recorded a 60 time of 7.65.
