Inside The OK Rankings: Top 10 Uncommitted Catchers

As we prepare for the most important summer of all time for amateur baseball, PBR OK takes a look into the latest rankings release for the 2021 class. If you missed the 2021 rankings release story, you can find it, here. Today, we will highlight the top 10 uncommitted corner infielders in the state according to the rankings. This group features durable bodies, strong arms, and some advanced hit tools.
SCOUTING REPORT
The 6-foot, 185-pound primary catcher displayed an athletic, physical frame with advanced strength. The right-handed hitter starts with a balanced, open stance utilizing a leg-hang to initiate his swing. Solid hip-shoulder separation allowed for advanced barrel whip through the zone evidenced by an 85 mph bat-exit velocity. Demonstrated feel for his hands with a fluid, repeatable swing. Ran a 7.33 60-yard dash. The backstop showcased advanced receiving skills with a soft glove hand at catch point. Pop times ranged from 1.89-1.98 on accurate throws of 79 mph from the crouch. Smooth transfers and solid straight line footwork allowed for a quick and repeatable, high ¾ arm-stroke coming forward. Featured athleticism during blocks creating soft walls on both sides of the plate. Deadened the baseball consistently with comfortability to recover.
