Capitalized on a standout performance at the Future Games by committing to Nebraska and has continued to improve since. If you only see him once, you can chalk him up to a typical right/right Division I outfielder. On the surface, he shows above average tools across the board and will take a nice BP. However, the more you see the future Husker, the more you appreciate his football player mindset and realize that his hit tool has a chance to be special. Banjoff has excellent hand eye coordination, sees spin well, and his hit tool shows more in game.

8/4/17 Right-handed bat and corner outfielder, Banjoff had one of the most impressive weeks in Indy at the Future Games. Impressive during the workout day with easy swing and pop during BP, Banjoff was on time and consistent with his swing path all week, producing hard contact and barreling up baseballs. This carried over to game action with hits in all three games, three extra base hits that included a triple and homerun on the last day vs. Pennsylvania. Put together consistent at-bats and was a threat every time in the box. Showed pitch recognition and ability to use the whole field. Also ran a 6.91 in the sixty, Banjoff definitely opened eyes over the week as a standout outfielder with an obvious hit tool and feel for the game. 60-Yard Dash: 6.91 Exit Velocity: 87 OF Velocity: 84
6/6/17 A right-handed hitter that starts in a tall, open setup. Uses a leg kick to initiate loading sequence. Barrel stays fluid prior to launch. Fast bat with impressive strength through contact. Ball jumps off his bat as he works on a flat path. Consistently drove the gap in batting practice. Very impressive round of batting practice. In the outfield he gets to the baseball with a sense of urgency and plays through it confidently. Has obvious feel for the position. Would like to see him smooth out actions between fielding and release. Throws with accuracy from an over the top slot. 60-yard dash: 7.01 Outfield Velocity: 77 Exit Velocity: 92
2/5/17 5-foot-11, 168-pound prospect. At the plate he starts in an athletic setup prior to his leg kick load. Stays fluid throughout his loading sequence. Path was mostly level. At his best when he got his weight shifted into contact. Gap to gap pop at this stage. In the outfield he has very fluid/efficient footwork approaching the baseball. Plays one handed and fields through the ball well. Uses an exaggerated crow hop to get momentum into his throws. Throws were on target.
7/26/16 5-foot-11, 168-pound strong, athletic build. Ran a 7.0 60-yard dash. Was very impressive during his hitting evaluation. His strength stands out right away as the ball jumps off his bat. Maintained his rhythm during his leg kick load and had efficient weight transfer into contact. His flat path allowed him to find the barrel consistently and put backspin on his line drives. Top exit velocity was 87 mph. Good hitter. In the outfield he showed above average hands with fluid footwork. Plays through the ball well before throwing to home plate with 74 mph arm strength. In the infield he has efficient footwork with adequate glove skills. Threw across the infield with 68 mph arm strength.
6/15/16 5-foot-11, 168-pound strong frame. Ran a 4.62 from home to first. A talented hitter that produces excellent energy into contact through an efficient load and aggressive stride. Well timed weight transfer. Hands get through the zone on a slightly uphill path with above average strength and batspeed. Had impressive pop to his opposite field gap. Top exit velocity was 84 mph. In the outfield he use smooth footwork and showed the ability to play through the ball. Needs to quicken his transfer. Throws showed good carry with 81 mph arm strength to home plate.
