Ohio Insider: Nebraska Loves What Banjoff Showed At Future Games
Leighton Banjoff OF / SS / Elyria Catholic, OH / 2019Rankings State Rank:23 POS:7
ELYRIA - The Future Games helped provide Leighton Banjoff the opportunity he has been looking for and the Elyria Catholic junior has decided that Nebraska is where he wants to go. The 23rd-ranked player in Ohio’s 2019 class committed to play for the Cornhuskers after making a trip to the home state of the College World Series. “I had been down south to Middle Tennessee this summer and in Georgia but I had not heard much from colleges prior to the Future Games,” Banjoff explained. “(Head) Coach (Darin) Erstad saw me at the Future Games and after that I talked to coach (Ted) Silva their recruiting coordinator. They called me on Sept. 1 and I went on a visit last Sunday (Sept. 24).” |
