The George Washington commit very well could end up seeing innings in the infield and behind the dish at the next level. Stood out behind the plate at this event. An above average athlete for the spot with fluid actions. Catch and throw skills are impressive, recorded pop times between 1.84-1.96. Will throw from knees, maintaining exchange skills and accuracy. Uses a higher ¾ arm slot on the bump, Ulrich displayed solid tempo with flowing mechanics and a clean arm action that glides through his motion. FB was up to 82 maintaining it within the zone very well. CB at 60-61 mph had sharp break and decent command. CH was very useful at 74-75 and had late downward arm side action. Exhibits great intent on each throw with added force coming from good utilization of his lower half as he drives downhill.

His pop times ranged from 1.83-2.03, showing the most accurate arm amongst the group. Most impressively, he never took a pitch off in bullpens receiving and blocking with game intent each pitch. At the plate, he has a line drive swing, projecting for more power as his frame develops. Right now, his hit tool is average but it has a chance to change once natural tools catch up to his barrel feel/control.
Ulrich made the most of his opportunity as a late add to Team Ohio. Ulrich was competitive at the plate but stood out defensively. Looked comfortable on the big stage behind the plate and made an outstanding play to his backhand side at second base.

Evan has two different breaking balls, his best being his slider that had sharp, late action across the plate at 58-60 mph. Also uses a curveball that has an 11/5 shape with gradual break sitting between 56-63 mph. Tends to slow his arm down a bit on his 61-64 mph changeup. Short arm action through ¾ slot. Accurate throws with a top velocity of 68 mph across the infield. Displayed athleticism in his feet and some fluidity to his footwork. Hands are average at this stage. At the plate he uses a simple hands back load during his stride forward. Gets the bat in and out of the zone quickly with a short, compact swing. Registered a top exit velocity of 77 mph and ran a 7.56 60-yard dash.
