Defensively, Ruth displayed his athletic ability showcasing as an OF and INF at the Fall Top Prospect games. As an outfielder, Ruth has an aggressive approach to the baseball. Gets rid of the ball quickly. As an infielder, Ruth gets to a good fielding position before attacking the baseball. Ruth’s active footwork allows him to play all over the field. Ruth increased his positional velocity from 75 to 79 MPH in the defensive workout. The 2021 graduate is a must follow.
