Reade had an impressive performance at the 2019 NY Fall Prospect Games. Reade improved his defense measurables with a pop time range of 2.09-2.20. Offensively, Reade had consistent hard contact during the batting practice session at the games. Quick direct path to the baseball and low effort actions. Has upside at the plate. The projectable 6-foot-1, 160 pounds frame is only going to help Reade. The 2022 C is a must follow.

Stays balanced throughout the swing. Defensively-the catcher displayed active footwork. Presents a big target for the pitcher. Above average exchange and quick release from a high ¾ arm slot. Pop time ranged was 2.23-2.32.

Quiet timing with short load and stride; stays behind the ball and was at his best with an aggressive lower half. Middle of the field results; exit velocity was 68 MPH. Defensively- Balanced setup behind the plate; gains ground with footwork. Slightly delayed transfer as ball works into his chest; low arm slot with abbreviated finish. Continued momentum through the end of the throw will help with carry. Arm strength was 64 MPH with a pop time range of 2.49-2.51.
