A fastball with hop has a flat approach angle and visually jumps through the zone. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher swing and miss average. Hop+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Rise+
A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.

Physical: Advanced 6-foot-4, 190-pound frame with obvious projectability and plenty of strength in the actions. 7.67 runner in the 60-yard dash.
Offensively: LHH. Balanced, quiet setup with not a whole lot going on; hands start at the shoulder with minimal movement. Utilized a slight move backward coupled with a repeatable toe tap stride for the timing mechanism. Entered the hitting zone through a slightly uphill path with some jolt in the barrel showcasing above average hip shoulder separation. Demonstrated consistent hard pull-side contact when getting the barrel head out in front. Recorded a 90 mph bat-exit velocity per Trackman Baseball during batting practice.
Defensively: Showed well during a solid defensive evaluation with long, calculated strides covering ground to either side in the outfield. Played the ball off the left foot and out in front with a soft glove hand allowing for repeatable transfers and an accurate arm strength from his position out of a high ¾ slot with good extension on the front side. OF - 79 mph
Pitching: RHP - Deliberate pace in the delivery with quality straight line lower half drive towards the plate. Got plenty of downhill plane on an 82-84 mph FB that played quicker with advanced extension on the release. Mixed in two different shaped breaking balls; a 70-72 mph CB with feel for spin and 11/5 shape & a 72-74 mph SL with horizontal across the zone.

Physical: 6-foot-4, 190-pounds. Tall, lean frame with room to fill out. Run: 8.14 runner in the 60. Hit: LHH. Stands tall with wide, even feet and balanced, hands start relaxed with a bat tap on his shoulder; short up and down leg lift with simple load Level swing path through contact with uphill 2 hand finish. Power: 84 MPH raw exit velocity. Consistent line drives through the middle and pull side. Defense: Short, choppy controlled foot work on approach into aggressive pro step to gain ground and momentum. Arm: Long arm swing into a 3/4 release with some carry on the ball. OF - 84 MPH.
Pitching Delivery: High leg lift with controlled tempo, uses lower half to generate torque and finish with good arm speed. Arm Action: Long arm action dropping down out of the glove building arm speed to a 3/4 slot. FB: T81, 78-81 MPH. Downhill plane with some ride through the zone. CB: 64-65 MPH. 12-6 shape located low in zone. CH: 72-75 MPH. Firm with some late cut action.
10/14/19
Lean, lanky frame with long limbs at 6-foot-4 and 180 pounds. At the plate he features a spread stance with minimal pre-pitch actions. Stays short to contact with balance and occasional lift to his pull side. In the outfield he showed a controlled approach and gathered himself into a traditional crow hop with a high arm slot release. On the mound he has a clean and repeatable delivery. Arm works loose and easy at a three-quarter angle. When at his best, finished out in front through delivery, allowing him to drive the ball to the bottom of the zone with angle. His fastball was in the 77-79 MPH range. Featured two different breaking balls with both being pretty similar in speed (curveball 67-70 and slider 66-68) and break. His slider looked to be the more effective pitch, with tighter and later bite. Finished his four pitch mix with a circle changeup at 71-72 MPH that had some slight arm side fade.
