CB Velocity: 67-70 MPH
SL Velocity: 66-68 MPH
CH Velocity: 71-72 MPH
Scouting Report
Lean, lanky frame with long limbs at 6-foot-4 and 180 pounds. Has a clean and repeatable delivery. Arm works loose and easy at a three-quarter angle. When at his best, finished out in front through delivery, allowing him to drive the ball to the bottom of the zone with angle. His fastball was in the 77-79 MPH range. Featured two different breaking balls with both being pretty similar in speed (curveball 67-70 and slider 66-68) and break. His slider looked to be the more effective pitch, with tighter and later bite. Finished his four pitch mix with a circle changeup at 71-72 MPH that had some slight arm side fade.
Thoughts on the Future
"Easy to see that there is a really high ceiling for Consigli. He has a frame that will allow him to add good weight and strength. Flashed good potential with all three off-speed pitches, and he will continue to get a better feel for these pitches with reps. Delivery had a tendency to fall to first base side of the mound, sometimes causing him to come around the ball on his pitches. It is very easy to picture Consigli coming out in the summer with a fastball in the mid 80s with 3 sharp off-speed pitches, planting himself firmly on the recruiting map."
