5-foot-10, 165-pounds and ran a 7.28 60 yard dash on lasers. Moves like an athlete, light on his feet. Arm strength was 80 mph with more to come as he gains strength. In the box his setup is relaxed, quick and compact to the ball. Gets to his pullside often. Barrel path is slightly inclined with a 77 mph exit velocity, a number we know he can increase this by this fall.
Last Chance Preview (October 14, 2017)
Chemotti stands in at 5-foot-9, 150-pounds. Ran a 7.25 – 60. Offensively- Clean trigger with a level barrel path throughout the zone. Utilizes good lower body rotation getting the whole frame involved. Demonstrated line drive ability up the middle and to the pull side during batting practice rounds. Recorded an exit velocity of 73 MPH, 3 MPH of his previous best 76 MPH set in February 2017. Defensively- Shows good footwork and approach to the baseball. Clean funnel into the chest with a quick transition to the throwing position. Moves well left/right and in on the run and was accurate with throws. Recorded a positional arm velocity of 76 MPH, a 3 MPH improvement from February 2017.
Preseason All-State (February 20, 2017)
Chemotti stands 5-foot-9, 130-pounds with a lean thin look, but frame to grow and carry more weight in the future. Offensively- At the plate he uses a slightly open stance, hands active out in front of his face. On the pitch he strides back to even and slightly forward, hands get to the contact zone quick, barrel path is slightly uphill with a mostly full extension. Exit velocity was 76 MPH. Defensively- Very active lower half, stays in proper fielding position as the ball approaches. Glove to hand transfer is very clean with a super quick release; arm strength peaked at 73 MPH across the diamond. Projects out as a high end defender at the next level.
