Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
Physical: Projectable / athletic 6-foot-1, 195-pound frame that oozes a starter’s build, high level confidence on the bump. LSU commit.
Pitching: LHP - Short side rocker step from the right side of the bump, medium-high leg lift with slight hip coil at the top of the leg lift, good hip shoulder separation and flexibility in the takeaway allowing the arm to move effortlessly through a smooth, high ¾ slot. FB ranged from 83-86 mph with small arm-side run and an upwards of 2197 spin per Trackman Baseball, mixed in a sharp 71-73 mph CB with 1/7 shape and two-plane action getting up to 2440 rpms. Countered with an above average 73-75 mph CH with feel upon release and slight arm-side fade on occasion.
6/25/19
Has a projectable athletic frame at 6-foot-0 tall,185 pounds. Pitching- The LHP displayed a repeatable delivery and a highly projectable arm. Uses his rhythm and delivery. Works with a quick tempo. Displayed long loose arm action from a high ¾ arm slot. FB has late life and peaked at 86 MPH. CB has a sharp tight spin with late break and ranged from 70-72 MPH. The 2022 graduate has tons of upside.
2/23/19
Kennedy was really, really good back in February, standing out as one-of-the top pitching prospects we saw all week long. He stands 6-foot-0, 175-pounds with a strong, athletic appearance. He uses rhythm in his delivery, repeatable, creates plenty of shoulder/hip separation, long arm-swing with a fluid circle. FB peaked 83 mph with easy velocity projection, curveball showed advanced spin and shape in the upper 60's. This is a 2022 everyone in the NE (and beyond) will want to take notice of. He will be on full display at the NYS Games this June.
