7/25/21
Cape Cod- Two-way talent Anthony DeFabbia (Stetson) was fun to watch battle in the box one night (2-for-3 with a long double vs Bourne as a righthanded hitter) then take the bump the following night, throwing 86-88 from the left side with a 72-73 mph curve and 79-81 sinking changeup.

Future Games (August 2-5, 2017)

Pitching- Working from a low slot. Easy arm with late acceleration, more to come. Fastball was 80-82, nipping 83 MPH. Feels change up at 76-77 MPH and was very effective with a lateral action breaking ball at 69-70 MPH; smaller, slider like break. Above average poise from the lefty.

June 25-27, 2018 (NYS Games)

60 Yard Dash:
7.07
Exit Velocity:
88
Positional Arm:
82

Ran a 7.07 60 yard dash form his lean slight build. Stays behind the ball, glove off to his side as he fields, short arm action, fast release with 82 mph arm-strength with carry. Quick to the ball/good routes. In the box he uses a medium leg kick, quiet hands. Plus bat speed (88) with mostly level bat plane. Drives balls to both gaps in BP.

 Pitching (NYS Games)

Solid athletic body frame. Lower legs are strong. Loose arm with good feel with all his pitches. Very smooth tempo with a long arm take away to a 3/4 arm slot. SLD has great break and action. Hard break down with 2/8 shape. FB has natural armside run.

7/26/17

5-foot-10, 150-pound, super athletic athlete. The shoulders are squared off, is well proportioned, wrists and legs have strength and quickness to them. A two-way player was one of the better athletes at this event. A right-handed hitter, is balanced in the box, hands are held at shoulder height, bat starting in a tilted position, feet are slightly wider than shoulder width. The hands are loose, they stay back, lower half is under control, stride is short and simple. The swing is flat through the zone, barrel stays in the hitting zone a long time, has whip and life out front, finishes with two hands at shoulder height. The approach is line drive from gap to gap, peppered the alleys during batting practice. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 84 mph, ran an easy 4.35 down the line. In game swings were good, collected two hits including a triple to opposite gap. Defensively, threw 82 mph from the outfield, gets great reads and jumps on the baseball. The footwork is clean crisp and advanced, steps through and uses the entire body to throw the baseball. The arm action is super clean, has average length to it, and works out of a ¾ slot, throws are online, with flight and carry. Off the mound, has an easy repeatable delivery, hands start and stay high throughout, leg raise easy, stays over the rubber. The upper body tilts over belly on separation, loses leverage to the plate. The arm action is clean, fastball was clocked at 77-79 mph, was after playing the field for 14 innings. Locates it well to both sides and lives in the bottom part of the zone. The changeup might be his best pitch, proper fade and action to the arm side, sold well with entire body, clocked at 72-73 mph. Throws a knuckleball as well for breaking pitch, downward to late horizontal slider break to it. Big time follow, gaining interest from Division one programs, groomed and coached at a very high level.

Home-First: 4.35

Exit Velocity: 84 MPH

Arm Velocity: 82 MPH
