Large frame, with broad shoulders and long limbs, standing 6-foot-7, 225 pounds.  Arm speed and arm strength are present with a fastball up to 90 and a slider creating a lot of issues for hitters.  Stretch only with some rhythm.  Works level and in-line, landing on-line and square.  Tall through balance with an average kick to the mid-chest.  Long, loose arm swing to a high-3/4 slot.  Good extension.  Fastball sat 87-90 with the spin rate up to 2280 rpm.  Slider flashes power tilt, up to 79.  Occasionally on the side, creating gradual 10/4 action at 76-77.  Body can continue to add strength.  Timing can continue to improve as he gets familiar with his large frame.  High ceiling and a draft follow moving into the spring season.

Towering 6-foot-6, 220 pound frame.  Still working to control his center of gravity over the rubber, but it is coming and when it syncs the ball jumps out of the hand.  Fastball up to 86, sitting 80-84 with angle when down.  Erratic at times, began to move the ball around the zone towards the end of the pen.  Small rocker to the side, lifting the knee above the belt as the pelvis tilts up.  Back leg sinks slightly while gathering the weight.  Medium arm swing works with a quick hand to a high-3/4 release.  Lands on-line and square, working for extension through the target.  Change-up has fade at 72-74, flashing feel for the down zone.  The breaking ball ranged 71-73 with sharp, late tilt.  Erratic, he is working to throw it with arm speed and allow the spin to produce hard action.

08.05.18
Large frame, standing 6-foot-6, 200 pounds.  Towering presence on the bump. Has only been a pitcher for a year and half and that creates some peaks and valleys to performances as he continues to figure out his delivery and center of gravity.  Fastball peaked at 86, working 82-85, jumping on hitters from an over-the-top slot. Ball played harder than radar, especially when down in the zone. Slider is still developing at 69-72. At times around the pitch.  When on top there is length and depth. Controlled to balance with good head discipline. Average leg kick. Tends to fall down the mound early creating some up-down issues in command. Medium arm swing, clean, working to create some angle at release from the 6-foot-6 posture.  Long stride with good athleticism getting extension over the front side. Big upside as the body control continues to improve.
