Compton is a 5-foot-11, 175-pound, right-handed hitting catcher, right-handed pitcher and third baseman in Missouri’s 2020 class. He ran a 5.10 home-to-first and posted an exit velocity of 87 mph. During hitting evaluations, balanced set up, minimal load, some rhythm with hands, slightly closed off with stride, high finish with hands, mostly pull side contact during round. Defensively behind the plate, Compton has an athlete set up, fluid foot work, quick transfer to release, short arm action, over the top release, positional velo of 72 mph, mostly accurate throws. On the infield, Compton shows athleticism, moves well laterally, aggressive to the baseball, clean transfer, over the top release, quick arm action, positional velocity of 77 mph, accurate throws.  On the mound, simple delivery, high leg kick, accelerates down the mound, clean arm action, over the top release, regular effort, some rhythm with delivery, mixed fastball and curveball during bullpen session, fastball was 71-74 mph, mostly straight, occasional cut action, thrown to the top part of the strike zone, curveball is 64-67 mph, gradual action, 12-to-6 shape.
