RHP Eli Skidmore (Francis Howell, MO, 2025; St. Louis commit) can also really spin the baseball, owning one of the more dynamic breaking balls in the ‘Show Me’ state. His 73-74 mph slider has heavy horizontal action with late sweep that consistently grabs whiffs in game. Skidmore’s fastball showed more backspin and carry up in the zone than we’d seen from him previously and the 6-foot-1, 190-pound junior threw it at 87-88 mph in his ‘pen.

RHP Eli Skidmore (Francis Howell, 2025) has polish beyond his years on the mound, and the strong, sturdy right-hander checks in at 38th overall for the first time in this update. Presently in the low-80s with his fastball, the ease that Skidmore works with on the mound suggests there’s more velocity to come, and it may arrive sooner rather than later. His calling card is his ability to rip off one of the best sliders in this class - a high-60s pitch with sharp swing-and-miss action and late bite off an 11/5 plane. He’ll turn over a mid-70s changeup to left-handed hitters as well, rounding out a true three-pitch mix, all of which he throws for strikes.

RHP Lucas Krebs (Edwardsville, 2025; IL) and RHP Eli Skidmore (Francis Howell, 2025) both flashed plenty of intrigue on the mound during their 'pens. Krebs recorded the second-hardest fastball amongst 2025 prospects in attendance, touching 85 mph on his hardest bullet, while Skidmore filled up the zone with all three of his pitches, including an 83 mph best with his fastball.
