Saturday’s trip to Parkville allowed us to check in with 2023 Future Games participant and one of the top catchers in Missouri’s 2025 class in C Easton Phillippe (Staley; Wichita State commit). Phillippe started off the day using a polished left-handed swing to send his best barrel 316 feet at a 94 mph exit velocity. Behind the plate, the junior posted a 1.89-2.03 pop time with a quick, clean transfer. Phillippe wrapped up the day by running a 3.95 second 30 - top-5 at the event.

2023 Future Games participant Easton Phillippe (Staley, 2025; Wichita State commit) once again had another strong showing on both sides of the ball at this event. Behind the dish, Phillippe was consistently on the bag with his throws, posting a 1.86-1.93 pop time with a 78 mph velocity to pair. At the plate, the lefty used an easy, polished swing to spray line drives to all fields with a top exit velocity of 89.4 mph.

Phillippe’s glove may be his biggest asset and he showed that during his workout, peppering accurate throws on the bag from a loose, clean arm while popping in the 1.94-to-2.01 range. He’s a quality receiver too, working down-to-up with strong wrists and soft hands to pair. At the plate, Phillippe swings a compact left-handed bat and is comfortable working the other way with line drive feel.
