6-foot-1, 165-pound long lanky frame. On the mound, used a long arm action with an over-the-top arm angle while showing consistent arm speed. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows decent effort. Showed strong balance point with even shoulders. Lands square with a clean finish. Threw his fastball 77-80 mph and topped out at 81 mph; has a heavy fastball that shows control down in the zone and sinking action. (Max spin 2138; Avg 2032). Threw a 12/6 curveball (66-70) that showed early action and around the zone control. (Max spin 2214; Avg 1948). Shows fading action and some command on his changeup (69-73).

Maryland Preseason All-State Session I
Body: 6’0’’, 165 pounds. Lean, athletic, and projectable frame with feel for his body; room to add strength yet. Hit: RHH. Bent-backside loaded stance with the upper half coiled over it; hands started on the shoulder with an on-time barrel tip working with a deliberate leg lift stride to enter the hitting zone through a slightly vertical path. Created some loft with long levers at the plate (near 30% fly ball rate) punching the ball to both gaps through the middle of the field. Could get lengthy at times on the swing, but shined when staying inside of it, producing his best contact of the round. The ceiling is evident and will be accessed sooner rather than later as he holds more physicality. Power: 90 mph exit velocity during BP per TrackMan. Developing doubles power occasionally to the pull-side. Arm: RH. INF - 77 mph. Short v-slot with a quick release from a high ¾ look. Accurate on the bag and repeatable in the takeaway. Defense: Hop step in the prep with ability to stick his foot in the ground and make a decision, light on his feet with a soft glove hand playing with give out in front. Funneled into the belt loop with continuous shuffling feet towards the target, moved well to the glove side with feel for the internal clock during defensive evaluations. Run: 7.70 60-yard time.
Delivery: Started from the left side of the rubber with a short side rocker into a medium leg lift at the top of the stack; slight pause and worked down the mound with good pace and balance distributed between the backside and front plant leg. Arm Action: RH. High ¾ slot with solid tempo to it; full arm circle, no restrictions. FB: 79 mph, 76-79 mph. Average spin rate of 2029 rpm. Slight arm side fade with good command to either side of the plate; repeated well. CB: 67-69 mph. Average spin rate of 2104 rpm. Consistent horizontal shape across the plate (9+ inches of HM per Trackman Baseball). Main out pitch. CH: 76-77 mph. 1780 average spin with developing shape to it, command was average on this date. SL: 72-76 mph. Average spin rate of 2179 rpm. Great command for a “get me over” type in the arsenal; less shape than the CB but significantly more velocity. 66% zone rate during his pen.
