As the swing starts, the weight remains over the back leg and creates some lift in his swing. During the batting practice he showed the ability to drive the ball in the middle of the field with authority. He maxed out with an exit velocity of 90.5 MPH. He also showed real foot-speed with a 6.72 sixty.
Defensively, Legere registered a velocity of 77 MPH on his throws across the diamond. He uses deliberate footwork to break down into a fundamental fielding position. The hands are soft as he transitioned through the ground ball in a direct line with the target. The arm swing is short and he finishes through the play well.

Legere is a strong-bodied 5-foot-9, 165 pound prospect. The right-handed hitting infielder had an exit velocity of 83 mph off the tee. He hits out of a wide base, with the hands relaxed off the back shoulder. The load begins with a leg kick, to get the weight to the back leg. The hands are quick getting the bat-head through the hitting zone. He extends well through contact and stays on plane.
Defensively, he showed a strong arm in the middle of the diamond, with a velocity of 80 mph. The feet are light and he moves well laterally getting into a balanced fielding position. The hands are soft transitioning to the throwing position. Working through the ground ball, he created a good line with first base and showed a quick arm.
