1/15/18 - Chomyak is a 5-foot-10 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 4.59 home to first and has an 86 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts slightly open, smooth load in to back leg with leg kick, minimal hand movements, aggressive and quick hands, occasional pull side power, middle to pull contact.  In the outfield, 81 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, fluid actions through the ball, catches ball with quick transfer, small crow hop, strong frame. On the mound, Chomyak comes from a high three quarters arm slot, long arm circle, throws with effort at release, controlled leg to balance point, accelerates down the mound in line, fastball at 79-82 mph, some with late two-seam action, breaking ball with 12-to-6 shape at 73 mph, change up has arm side run at 74 mph, works a cutter at 74-75 mph, slight sink.

6/27/17 - Chomyak is a 5-foot-10 175 pound right-handed hitting infielder, outfielder and RHP in Kansas’ 2018 class. He ran 7.55 laser timed 60 and a 4.76 home-to-first. His exit velo is 85 mph. At the plate, Chomyak includes a leg lift with his load, even stride, level bat path and controls his body throughout his swing. On the infield, positional velo is 81 mph with accurate throws, moved well side to side and has long arm action. In the outfield, he showed good footwork, positional velo of 83 and fairly accurate throws. On the mound, Chomyak uses an OT slot to throw fastballs that have the ability to run and cut, velo range was between 79-82, curveball showed sharp 12-to-6 action, 73-77 mph and thrown with near fastball arm speed. Chomyak utilizes a max effort delivery and accelerates down the mound with an aggressive lower half.

5/31/16 - Chomyak is a 5-foot-9 170-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in Kansas’ 2018 class.  He ran a 7.44 60 and a 4.89 home-to-first.  He has an 86 mph exit velo. At the plate, gap-to-gap approach, open stance, controlled leg kick, level path though hitting zone, body stays under control, singled though the hole at short in game action.  In the outfield, 81 mph positional velo, over the top release, take route behind the ball, loose arm action, fluid exchange and throw, somewhat accurate throws. On the mound, Chomyak was aggressive in the zone, attacking with a fastball at 79-82 mph, one of the top velos for the event, with 2-seam action, breaking ball has depth at 73-75 mph, 11-to-5 shape, late action, was in the zone with fastball and curveball, repeats release point, smooth and controlled delivery, throws with regular effort, body stays under control with loose arm action.

1/18/16 - Chomyak is a 5-foot-9 155-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and third baseman in Kansas’ 2018 class. He gets down the line in 4.27-seconds and has an exit velocity of 83 mph. Chomyak has a simple and repeatable swing, open stance, short stride, some swings had higher leg kick, consistently squared up balls during batting practice to middle of cage, level path to extension.  In the outfield, posted one of the top outfield velos at 80 mph, one of the top velos for the event, short over-the-top arm slot, clean hand-to-glove exchange, accurate throws. On the infield, 77 mph throw across diamond, three quarters release, made all plays cleanly, field ball in athletic position, mostly accurate throws. On the mound, Chomyak worked his fastball at 77-79 mph, curveball showed to be a good pitch, 11-to-5 action, late movement, throws for a strike, change-up has slight arm side run at 74-75, near fastball arm speed, Throws strikes with three pitches, repeats delivery, high three quarters release, stays inline, throws with regular effort.
