7.27.17 - Recently committed to Western Michigan. 6-foot-4, 210-pound, projectable, right-handed pitcher with wide shoulders. Works exclusively from the stretch. Short arm action from a high ¾ slot. Fastball sat 84-87 mph in his one inning of work.
7.25.17 - Verbally committed to Western Michigan.
3.28.17 - 6-foot-4, 210-pound, physical, strong, broad-shouldered, right-handed pitcher. Works primarily from the stretch, stays on-line and features raw arm strength. Short, strong arm from a high ¾ slot. Fastball works mostly straight, occasional tilt when down, pitched at 86-87 mph early on, touched a few 88’s and one 89. Threw a handful of slider, flashing depth at times, average feel, 72-76 mph. One of the harder throwers still uncommitted in the 2018 class.
2.19.17 - 6-foot-4, 210-pound right-handed pitcher with a strong, wide shouldered frame. One of the top uncommitted arms in Illinois. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short, quick arm action. Works exclusively out of the stretch. Tall and fall delivery with a high leg kick. Works in line with home plate, square landing with good tempo and easy effort. Fastball sat 88-90 topping out at 93 mph on his last pitch with late life. Slider has 11-5 shape with gradual action at 69-72 mph for strikes. Changeup is straight at 79-82 mph for strikes.
10.16.16 - Biggest winner from the event. Physically built at 6-foot-4, 200-pound right-handed pitcher. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short, clean arm action. Works exclusively from the stretch. Tall and fall delivery with easy effort. Works in line with home plate with some rhythm and an athletic finish. Fastball was straight at 87-90 mph. Slider was erratic at 72-75 mph. Lengthens arm action on changeup at 78-80 mph.
7.15.15 - Lanky, projectable right-handed pitcher. Works from a high ¾ arm angle with a short, quick arm action. Works exclusively from the stretch. High leg lift with online delivery. Fastball flashed occasional cut at 80-81 topping out at 84 mph. Also went 2-2 at the plate on Saturday morning.
9/16/19:Six-foot-3, 190 pound righty with a loose arm and fastball up to 94 mph (2350 rpm). More of a thrower with limited feel at this point, Vice missed up in the zone often with his heater but generated swing/miss from an over the top slot when he worked down the hill. He's a transfer from Western Michigan University and currently has four years of eligibility remaining.
