Mississippi State crossed the border to the north to pick up its latest recruit. RHP Eric Cerantola (St. Trinite HS, ON) is the top arm in Ontario’s 2018 class and committed to the Bulldogs. He stands at 6-foot-5, 195 pounds and sits at 90 mph with his fastball with downhill action. He adds in an overhand curveball with 12/6 shape, tight spin and late bite. Once a big-time hockey prospect, Cerantola has never had an offseason of baseball training and possesses high upside.
