INF Ryan Nelson (Plainfield North, 2023) is another wiry, lean, left-handed hitter to keep an eye on moving forward. The bat profiles as a potential top-of-the order type; he stays within himself, sees the ball deep into the zone and stays short, compact and level through the baseball. Nelson was consistently on the barrel, spraying line-drives to all fields. Defensively, he showed the actions and hands to stick on the dirt for the time being. Follow left-handed hitter who should continue to boost his stock as he adds strength to his frame.
