Wichita State commit, currently ranked No. 6 in the Illinois 2022 class, No. 117 in the country. Wiry, projectable frame, standing 6-foot-3, 175-pounds, room for added strength. Started on the mound and went 4.1 innings, striking out 11 to no walks, scattering four hits and allowing two earned runs. The right-hander’s arm works with a repeatable circle out of the glove and moves into a high ¾ slot, ultra quick arm-speed throughout. Down the mound, Izzi works with a tall/fall lower-half from balance point, remaining in-line to the plate while landing square, moving athletically throughout with little perceived effort and repeating consistently. His fastball worked 91-93 mph, exploding through the zone with some downward tilt, held low 90’s throughout his entire outing. His slider paired off a near identical fastball release, playing with late action at 80-84 mph, thrown with intent and featured some depth, thrown both for strikes and to put hitters away at the bottom of the zone. Izzi also flashed a changeup at 80-82 mph, thrown with near identical fastball arm-speed and fading late to the arm-side. High level 2022 prospect with some of the highest upside in the class.

Wichita State commit, currently ranked No. 6 in Illinois; No. 255 in the country. Athletic, 6-foot-3, 175-pound frame, long-limbs with athleticism and room to fill out. Started on the mound for Oswego East and was impressive in his three innings of work; recording eight of his nine outs via the strikeout. Izzy moves with ease down the mound; utilizing a drop/drive lower-half, sitting on his back leg before exploding downhill, remaining in-line with the plate throughout. He creates a notable amount of extension, releasing the ball from an over-the-top slot with clear arm-speed and fluidness in his arm path. Izzi cruised at 92-93 mph in his first inning of work, reaching back for 94 mph multiple times in the outing - including his third and final inning of work. His slider pairs off his fastball well, playing off a short 10/4 plane, manipulating shape at times to achieve more depth, 76-82 mph. The future Shocker also displayed a late fading changeup that he utilized mostly to lefties, flashed a couple in right-on-right matchups, sat mostly 82-83 mph. Izzi is one of the most highly regarded pitchers in the state with plenty of upside to dream on.

Super athletic 2022 right-hander with a quick arm from low ¾ release. The Wichita State recruit worked both sides of the plate with a mid-80s sinker, topping at 88 early in his appearance. Tired quickly, worked the middle innings in the low-80s. Showed a good feel to spin a 77-78 mph slider with fair shape and bite. Flashed a rudimentary change-of-pace 79-80 mph. Good poise on the bump. Fielded his position well.

Verbally committed to Wichita State.

Defense: Long, fluid, easy strides, plays through the baseball, reliable hands.
Run: 7.51 runner in the 60.

From the outfield, plays through the ball, short, loose arm action, high ¾ slot. Throws topped 72 mph to home. From the infield, throws topped 67 mph across. 8.26 runner in the 60. On the mound, works straight, closed landing, athletic finish out front with rhythm involved. Short, loose arm action, quickness out front, easy effort. Fastball played 66-68 mph. Curveball, 11/5 shape, 57-60 mph. Changeup sank, 57-61 mph.
