8/14/15 - Fun player to watch. He’s hard to miss, standing at an imposing 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, and he plays like he’s an undersized grinder. He had the strongest arm from the outfield, getting good carry on his throws with a quick, loose arm. He then took ground balls at first base and fired lasers across the diamond. His throws were less accurate from first as he was rushing and overthrowing, but he clearly has arm strength. In batting practice, he didn’t get cheated, rocketing balls to his pull side. He has a very short, quick swing and the ball jumps off his bat. He hits with low hands and tends to cut his swing off, making it even more impressive how hard he hits the ball.

7/27/15 - Looked like he did at the Tournament of Stars. He’s raw and it took him a little bit to find his groove, but when he did, there were lasers flying out to right field.
It’s hard to miss Benson with his impressive 6-foot-5, 220-pound frame. His physical build translates to power as he has good bat speed and can put a charge into the ball. His swing is raw leading to inconsistency, but when’s he on, he punishes the baseball. Though he’s limited to a corner outfield spot or first base, Benson runs well for his size. In four games, he went 5-for-14 with a double, two triples and six RBIs.
6/27/15 - Huge day, going 4-for-4 with three runs scored and four RBIs. He also scored from second base on a groundball up the middle that didn’t leave the infield. It was a tough play for the second baseman—who made a nice play—but Benson didn’t stop rounding third and then made a nifty slide, getting his hand in around the tag from the catcher.
6/23/15 - Immediately jumps out with his physical frame at 6-foot-5, 220 pounds. His actions in the outfield were erratic and his swing is raw, but showed good bat speed and made very loud contact when he connected in BP, launching balls to his pull side.
