2-28-16
A 6-foot-5, 210-pound right hand pitcher who stands tall on the mound and uses his height to close the distance to the plate.  Arm slot is high ¾ and remains constant on all pitches.  Good leg drive and extension out front and finish stays in-line with the plate.  Fastball touched 88 with slight run.  He also showcased a 76 MPH curve with sharp 11/5 break and a 74 MPH change that works well down in the zone.

1-12-16
Currently ranked No. 32 in the 2016 class. Committed to Colorado Mesa. 6-foot-5, 220-pound right-handed pitcher with projectable frame. Bigger and stronger since we saw him last summer.  Fastball was consistently 85-86 MPH with late sink in the zone. Highest we have had Dye in game is 86, so it looks like he could be upper 80's his senior year.
3-1-15
6-foot-5, 210-pound right-handed pitcher with projectable frame.  Motion is smooth with level shoulders and square landing to the plate.  Easy effort and a long quick arm produced fastballs from 83-85 MPH with late sink in the zone.  Over the top arm slot allowed for a 67-70 MPH curve with 11/5 gradual break and lived down in the zone.  Change was thrown at near FB arm speed, 69-73 MPH with good sink.  All three pitches were thrown for strikes at this event. Threw faster then last time we saw him in August. Also looked more smooth to the plate.

6-16-14

6-foot-5, 215-pound right-handed pitcher with projectable frame impressed as one of the top pitching prospects at the Colorado Top Prospect Games.  Works from a short, loose,  ¾ arm slot, simple delivery, picks leg straight up to balance point, crunches up  slightly at balance point, stride direction stays in line with home plate, lands slightly closed at foot strike.  Fastball sat 82-84 mph with sink, thrown for strikes consistently.  65-67 mph curveball flashed 10/5 shape with good tilt and occasional late bit, other times pulled off the pitch a bit making shape erratic.  Showed plus feel of a 72-73 mph changeup with fade to his arm side thrown consistently for strikes. Strike thrower for a big kid. Columbine's #1 Pitcher going into 2015 season.  If he stays taller could get better extension towards plate. Can't ignore size and build. player to follow and potential Division-1 arm.
