2020 OF Trevor Tishenkel (Cal) Our #20 ranked player in the 2020 class, Tishenkel continues to impress and hit every viewing, putting himself in position as a top performer on his team, and leader going into his senior season. His range, and ability to track balls in the gap has improved along with his commitment to being more physical. Arm has gone from average to above average in a short period of time, showing he is healthy going into the summer. Tishenkel is one of the top five outfielders in the state, and should see a jump in his all around game. His name will pop up in draft discussions next year.
1/13/18 - CAL Berkeley commit. Long, lean frame, sloped shoulders, long limbs, wiry strength with plenty of room for continued physical development. One of the premiere athletes in his class and looks to be one of the top sophomore outfielders in the state. A very athletic outfielder that shows natural instincts and covers a lot of ground with an explosive first step. Possesses an above average present arm that projects with more physical maturity. Made two strong, online throws with carry from mid-center field to the plate. Advanced runner with natural instincts on the basepaths. Clocked at 4.39 home-to-first. Advanced offensive approach; athletic setup with good rhythm and pace; maintains balance through swing and shows the ability to recognize pitches early out of the pitchers hand; Flashes some present power with gap-to-gap abilities. First guy out of the dugout. Took warm up throws seriously as if he was working on something. Plays the game with enthusiasm.
